The Charter

The Kennett Athletic Boosters Club, organized in 1984, endeavors to assist in recognizing the student athlete, to foster community and student enthusiasm for the teams, to support the coaches and to raise funds to enrich the athletic programs.

Phillies Raffle Tickets

KABC is holding their annual Phillies Raffle Ticket Sale. Buy a raffle or more to take a chance to win a 14 Sunday Game Plan for 4 tickets in Section 138, Row 9, which are behind the 3rd base line. Tickets are 1 for $20.00 or 6 for $100.00. The drawing is March 30, 2013. Our various fundraisers have been able to support our Middle School and High School Athletes awarding grants in excess of $15,000 to various teams. The Maureen Jefferson Cookbook

KABC is selling the "Friends of Maureen Jefferson Cookbook". The proceeds will help fund two scholarships that were created last year in honor of Maureen Jefferson's service to the Kennett Athletic Booster Club and her enthusiastic support of KHS sports (Maureen was a past KABC President who unfortunately passed away very suddenly). The cookbook is full of some awesome favorite recipes submitted by her family and friends and at only $12.00 per copy, the cookbook makes a meaningful hostess or Christmas gift. The Awards

The Boosters Club has established the Excellence Award, which is given annually to the outstanding athlete in each sport.

Criteria for the Excellence Award are:

High standards of sportsmanship and conduct for self and others
Leadership ability with a positive influence on others
Enthusiasm and dedication
Proficiency in the sport

The names of the Excellence Award winners are inscribed on a plaque, purchased by the KABC, in Reynolds Gymnasium Lobby. The Boosters Club also recognizes teams and athletes who achieve League, District, Regional, or State Championships.

Scholarships are given annually to a male and female athlete.

KABC meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month, except for the June meeting, which is a provisional meeting (i.e., it is scheduled but could be canceled if no new business) and no meeting in July.
